The Panfandom Statement of Purpose

To have fun. If the wiki becomes srs bsns, ur doin it wrong.

To be mellow. If something seems really out of tone with the rest of the wiki--bitter, antagonistic, unfunny--The  Management reserves the right to ask or allow something to be rewritten. Remember: fandom is supposed to be fun, right?

To avoid bias, which is not mellow. In the sense of not being a total jerk about things, but at the same time, we're not setting the wiki up as the Arbiter of All That Is Right and True and Good. If it becomes an issue, The Management is totally okay with having multiple entries on a single subject linked on a primary entry. Because if you can't avoid bias, you might as well include everyone's bias and let readers get the full picture.

To play well with others. Since a pure fandom democracy would turn into Lord of the Flies pretty quickly, you have The Management, which is, at this point, Cleolinda. Cleolinda is, therefore, this wiki's god. Fortunately, she's a lazy god, so she doesn't plan to interfere unless things stop being mellow. However, since she basically set up the wiki account and wrote the Statement of Purpose, she reserves the right to choose the direction the wiki goes in, or create policy, or tell people to "cut that shit out, that's not how we do things here."

To be non-profit. A Wiki is the work of a collective. PB Wiki is a free service and, as such, the Panfandom Wiki incurs no expenses. There is no need to involve money unless for some reason we want to upgrade to a better PB Wiki package, and The Management does not see why we should at this time. In case it ever comes up: no, the Panfandom Wiki does not plan on making money off you or fandom.
